Fitness Recipe: Carrot Cake Smoothie

Everyone has experienced the situation when you don’t have time in the morning, but would still like to enjoy a healthy breakfast that fills you up. Today’s recipe is perfect for this situation. Just throw the right fruit, protein powder, milk and cinnamon into the blender. This combination creates a delicious creamy smoothie that tastes very similar to carrot cake. Would you give it a shot?

Ingredients:

  • 200 ml semi-skimmed milk (if you want a vegan version, you can use oat, rice, soy, coconut or any other plant-based milk)
  • 180 g carrot
  • 90 g banana
  • 50 g pineapple
  • 30 g unflavored protein powder (you can also use vanilla, banana or any other flavour, rice protein works great if you’re a vegan)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • lemon juice to taste

Method:

Clean the pineapple, peel the carrot and banana and cut everything into smaller pieces. Grate some of the carrot on other plate, then use it for garnish.

Put the fruit and carrots in a blender, pour in the milk, add the protein powder, cinnamon and blend everything thoroughly until smooth. At the end, add the lemon juice, which will give it a fresh taste. Pour everything into glasses, decorate with carrots or cinnamon, and serve. It’s great as a breakfast to go or a snack.
