Preparation:
In a larger bowl, mix oats, water, protein, xylitol and almond butter. If the resulting dough is too crumbly, we add a small amount of water until a dense dough is formed. We put the finished dough into a baking tray (we used a baking tray measuring 30×10 cm) lined with parchment paper. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes at 175°C. After baking, remove the dough from the oven and let it cool completely.
In the meantime, pour the boiling water over the dates and let it stand for about 15 minutes. Then drain them and mix them together with the protein, peanut butter and water until smooth. We lay the resulting thick nougat on the cooled dough and sprinkle it with chopped peanuts, which we lightly push into the nougat.
In a water bath or in a microwave, melt the dark chocolate together with the coconut oil, mix them well together until a uniform mixture is obtained. Then pour it on top of the prepared dough with nougat. Put the finished dessert in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Then we can cut it into 12 identical sticks, which we store in the refrigerator. Enjoy this delicacy!
