BIO Seitan - a low-fat plant based source of protein with an excellent, mildly hot exotic flavour

BIO Seitan is a plant-based alternative to meat. It is made by repeated rinsing of wheat flour, which flushes out the starch. The remaining mass is then further flavoured and processed to form the resulting seitan. In this case, the final product is flavoured with bay leaf, ginger and tamari sauce, thanks to which it has a slightly hot and exotic taste.

Seitan packs 74 kcal and 13,1 g of protein per 100 g serving, thanks to which it is a rich source of protein that helps grow and maintain your muscle mass and the health of your bones. This makes it particularly popular among athletes, healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, and those of us, who are trying to lose some weight. Conducive to this goal is also its low content of sugar and fat. If you appreciate products with a simple ingredient profile, you will be happy to learn that seitan contains absolutely no added compounds and comes in BIO quality.

Thanks to its usefulness as a plant-based substitute for meat, seitan is very versatile in the kitchen. It can be baked, grilled, deep or stir-fried and served with virtually any side dish. A skilled chef can use seitan to enrich a veggie dish or turn it into delicious burger patties or sauces, all rich in protein. And there's no reason to be scared of more exotic approaches either. Replace meat in Asian or Mexican recipes, or add stir-fried cubes into a variety of salads. Your only limit is in your own imagination.

Moreover, seitan is not meant exclusively for vegetarians and vegans only. Its delicious taste makes it a popular choice among foodies who by no means avoid animal produce. Plant-based alternatives can be quite simply seen as a way to add some colour to your usual diet.
